Assistant coach Randie Wirt released from women's basketball program

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Colorado State University women's basketball Head Coach Kristen Holt announced Monday that Randie Wirt has been released of her duties as assistant coach.
"I appreciate all that Randie has given to this progam and to Colorado State University," said Holt. "Her contributions and commitment over the past three seasons have strengthened the program, but I felt a change was in the best interest of the team as we move forward. I wish Randie all the best in the future."
Wirt, the only member remaining from Jen Warden's original staff, was hired prior to the 2005-06 season and spent the last three seasons as the third assistant coach to Warden. A 2004 graduate of the University of Colorado, Wirt also played for two seasons under then-assistant coach Jen Warden.
