FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- First-year Head Coach Kristen Holt and the Colorado State women’s basketball team will host a picnic on the north concourse of Moby Arena, Sept. 7 at 5 p.m., allowing fans and boosters from the community the opportunity to meet with new and returning players and coaches as the Rams take the first steps this season towards building a program of excellence.
“I am very excited to be the head coach at Colorado State and I am looking forward to putting a product on the floor, in the classroom and in the community that all Ram fans can be proud of,” said Holt. “I am well aware of the past accomplishments of this program and also realize that without the support of our boosters and fans, those feats would have been harder to attain.”
The picnic is open to the public and fans who are interested in attending can RSVP to Matt Klein, director of basketball operations, at 970/222-7196 or via e-mail at mklein33@colostate.edu. The cost of the picnic is $4.50 per person which will go towards covering food costs.
“It is our goal to build a program of excellence that will allow us to win Mountain West Conference Championships and NCAA tournament games,” added Holt. “This season will be the beginning to reaching that milestone.”
