In singles, the Rams came out strong in the 80-degree weather, winning seven out of eight first rounds in both singles brackets. Seeded fifth in the top bracket, senior Lauren Strasburger earned a victory against Karine Bourdages of Utah, 6-2, 6-2, in the first round, then went on to defeat Hailey Swenson of Utah State, 6-3, 6-2.
