ANN ARBOR, Mich. - One day after dropping its first two matches of the season, the CSU water polo team lost two more Sunday, finishing the Michigan Kickoff tournament 0-4.

The Rams lost 11-8 against the Bucknell Bison, a game in which CSU lead 4-3 after two periods. The second half was sour, however, as the Bison put up six goals in the third period. CSU had hat tricks from Sarah Ostling and Emily Chambers, as well as goals by Orsi Nadasdy and Ali Pavlik.

The second contest of the day pinned the Rams against a tough Indiana squad. The Rams lost 11-3, scoring all three of their goals in the fourth period. Assistant coach Mike Moody said the athletes put forward a good effort in the loss.

"We finished on a good note," Moody said. "We just couldn't find the back of the net."

CSU got goals from Sarah Ostling, Orsi Nadasdy, and Katy Armstrong, all coming in the final frame.

Although the scoreboards were not in favor of the Rams, the team still has optimism toward the rest of the season, and believes this tournament has made them stronger.

"It was a good learning weekend for us," Moody said. "We didn't stack up well with a lot of the teams there, but we know where we are and what we need to do."
