Neal awarded the Waterpik Excellence in Education Award and will be honored Saturday

CSU tennis athlete awarded Waterpik Excellence in Education Award

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State Athletics has selected senior tennis star Laura Neal as the student recipient of the Waterpik Excellence in Education Award for her performance in the classroom as well as on the court.

During her four years at CSU, Neal has maintained 3.93 GPA, while moving to ninth in all-time doubles victories with 46. Neal is also a three-time MWC Scholar Athlete recipient.

“I am proud of Laura’s efforts in the classroom and her excellence on the court,” Head Coach Jon Messick said. “It is nice to have someone who excels on and off the court and sets the standard for academic success for our program.”

Neal will be publicly acknowledged on the scoreboard during the CSU vs. San Diego State football game Saturday at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium.
