Rams open spring with dual win over Bears

FLORENCE, Ariz. -- The Colorado State men's golf team opened their spring schedule picking up a victory this weekend in a dual modified match-play outing against the University of Northern Colorado.
The Rams rolled to a 79-12 victory over the Bears, behind a strong performance from junior Bryce Hanstad, who carded a two-round total of 141 (72-69). Sophomore Justin Spary (71-71--142), senior Zen Brown (73-70--143), and junior Riley Arp (71-72--173) also posted strong showings for the Rams.
Freshman Zahkai Brown carded a 148 (71-77) and junior Dusin Morris fired a 156 (77-79).
The Rams, ranked No. 15 in the latest Goflweek/Sagarin performance index, will continue their season, Feb. 18-20 at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate in Honolulu, Hawaii.
