FORT COLLINS, Colo. - - The Colorado State women's tennis team (8-12, 2-6 MWC) will travel to Albuquerque, N.M., this week to participate in the Mountain West Conference championship tournament. The Rams enter the tournament as the No. 7 seed and will face the No. 2 seed TCU on Thursday at 10 a.m. MDT.

"We haven't matched up well against TCU," said Head Coach Jon Messick. "We will have to improve and make some adjustments to have a better result than the last match. Our team played very well this weekend against Air Force and Wyoming and our confidence is at a fairly high level. We will need to play at a very high level at the tournament and I think that our players are up to the challenge."

The tournament is a nine-team draw with single-elimination. Wyoming and Air Force are playing each other on Wednesday to see who goes into the bracket to the play the No. 1 seed, the UNLV Lady Rebels. The Rams are entering the tournament as the No. 7 seed and will play the No. 2 seed, TCU, in the first round.

The Rams will hit the court at the Jerry Cline Tennis Center to begin the tournament's competition on Thursday.
