Senior forward Carine Reimink has been a force in the paint for Colorado State for two seasons. A native of Australia, Reimink came to Colorado State after spending two years at Casper College in Casper, Wyo., and has proven be a force to be reckoned with on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.
The Rams Basketball Report recently caught up with Carine to ask her a few questions:
Q: What's the biggest improvement you've seen this year?
A: Attitudes. We didn't want to repeat last year. And we have a better work ethic.
Q: What are you most excited for for this season?
A: A winning record in conference.
Q: What personal goals have you made for yourself?
A: To play hard every game.
Q: What are your post-graduation plans?
A: I'm studying Sports Medicine, so I want to go back to Australia and go to school for Physical Therapy.
Q: What's your favorite thing to do outside of basketball and class?
A: Sleep, eat, and shop.
Q: What made you decide to come to the United States and Colorado State?
A: I wanted the experience, and to travel. I like the Fort Collins area and the coaching staff.
Q: Who's your favorite athlete?
A: I don't have one, but I like watching all college ball.
Q: Do you have any special connections with an individual teammate?
A: Kandy. She's my mini midget.
Q: How do you want to be a stronger leader on the court?
A: By using my court experiences. And by leading by example on and off the court.
Q: What gets you most pumped before a game?
A: I think about who I'm playing against and envision how I can defend their moves.
Q: What do you want people to know about you outside of basketball?
A: I'm very family oriented, and I really miss the beach.
Q: What's been your favorite memory at CSU?
A: My teammates. I've made many great friends.
