Rams Q&A with Willis Gardner

Senior guard Willis Gardner has been a stalwart in the Rams' lineup for two seasons, battling injuries to take the court for the Rams, Gardner quickly became a leader for Tim Miles squad.
A man of few words, Gardner's' game speaks volumes about the type of player and person that he is. The 6-0 guard from Norristown, Pa., has been one of the Rams most consistent players over the past two seasons, averaging 9.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in two seasons.
The Rams Basketball Report recently caught up with Willis to ask him a few questions:
Q: What made you decide to come to CSU?
A: I really liked the coaches and everyone at CSU was really friendly.
Q: What has been your best memory playing for the Rams?
A: Getting to go to Canada to play in a preseason tournament before the 2008-09 season.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do outside of basketball?
A: I like taking long walks in the park and watching the sunset.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Hot dogs.
Q: What is your favorite thing to watch on TV?
A: The PJs.
Q: What is your major?
A: Sociology.
Q: After you graduate in May what would you like to be doing?
A: I'd like to be able to play basketball overseas.
Q: What is your favorite city that you get to travel to in order to play an opponent?
A: Albuquerque, N.M. because The Pit is a fun place to play.
Q: What team do you look most forward to playing?
A: Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Q: Who is your favorite NBA player?
A: Rajon Rondo, Boston Celtics point guard
Q: How old were you when you started playing basketball?
A: I was 14 years old.
Q: What's the biggest difference between your hometown (Norristown, Pa.) and Fort Collins?
A: Everything back home is very fast-paced. Things out here are very slow.
