FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Three Colorado State water polo players have earned all-conference honors in the Western Water Polo Association, the conference announced Wednesday.

Junior Krystyna McCright, sophomore Ali Pavlik and freshman Kallie Berry all were recognized for their extraordinary efforts this season.

Pavlik was named second-team all-conference, making her the first CSU player to ever receive that high of an honor in the program's five-year history. Pavlik is the team's leading goal scorer and is ninth in the conference in scoring. Her 57 goals are the third most in a single season in school history and a career high. Pavlik has been an honorable mention for WWPA Player of the Week on five occasions this year.

"She's really coming into her own," coach Mike Moody said. "She can play to another level. I believe it and I think she believes it, too."

McCright earned honorable mention all-conference honors as a standout goaltender for the Rams this season. She currently ranks eighth in the conference in saves with 199 and is 20 saves from matching her career best for a single season. McCright was also named WWPA Player of the Week for the week of March 25. This marks the second time she has been honored by the conference, as she was 2007's WWPA Newcomer of the Year.

"She is vital to the team," Moody said. "You cannot replace somebody like her in the cage."

Berry, an impressive freshman from Long Beach, Calif., earned a spot on the WWPA all-freshman team. Berry has scored 33 goals in only 23 games this season, which puts her fourth on the team. Berry has also recorded an impressive 39 steals. Berry was named WWPA Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 18.

"As with Ali, she's really coming into her own," Moody said. "She's got 23 games under her belt and I believe every game she is getting stronger and really becoming comfortable with her role on the team."

Moody recognized the importance of having two strong scorers on the team.

"Having Kallie on one side of the pool and Ali on the other side of the pool is a great duo," Moody said.

The Rams' next action is at the Western Water Polo Association tournament in Santa Clara, Calif., against Chapman on Friday morning.
