Next on the Tee
Colorado State, ranked No. 27 in the final GolfWeek/Sagarin poll last season, will tee off in Tanagura, Japan, Tuesday through Thursday in the 26th annual Topy Cup. This prestigious tournament matches 12 of the top teams in the world (four American and eight Japanese) against each other, yet no American team has won the tournament in the last three years. The Topy Cup is held at Tanagura Country Club in Tanagura, Japan.

The field
The Rams will be competing with three other American top-50 schools, No. 47 Michigan State, No. 26 Texas and No. 4 Washington. Among the eight Japanese men's teams competing will be Tohoku Fukushi, winners of four of the last five Topy Cups.

Rams lineup
Representing the Rams in Japan will be seniors Riley Arp, Bryce Hanstad and Dustin Morris, junior Sean McNamara and sophomore Zahkai Brown. Arp sealed the Rams' victory in the Colorado Cup with a 15-foot putt on the 17th hole in the final individual match.

Notes
• Hanstad, Morris and Brown bring four combined individual titles into the first traditional tournament of the season.

• This will be the first time any CSU team has traveled to the Far East.

• The Cup has played host to current PGA standouts Phil Mickelson (Arizona State University) and Shigeki Maruyama (Nihon University), who won individual titles in 1989 and 1990, respectively.
