Tennis recap: CSU concludes Day 2 at ITA regional

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The CSU women's tennis team completed Day 2 of competition in the ITA Mountain West Region Championship Thursday. Although the Rams surrendered two losses in the doubles brackets, the team continues to remain alive in the consolation round.
With matches still in play, the Rams still hope for a victorious singles consolation round to conclude the day.
Veronika Wojakowska and Caitlin Fluegge started the day for the Rams in the upper-half of the doubles draw. After putting up a tough fight, the pair lost their first-round match (8-4) to Utah State's Brianna Harris and Kristina Voytsekhovic.
Tori Arneson and Lauren Mulhern also competed for CSU. The duo matched up with New Mexico's Amy Shipperd and Michaela Bezdickova in a close pro set before falling, 8-6.
