FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Saturday is Student Appreciation Day at Moby Arena, where the Rams will play their final regular-season game, against the Utah Utes.
And in conjunction with the event, members of the Colorado State men’s basketball team will be on hand Friday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Lory Student Center iBox to hand out tickets and concessions vouchers to students for Saturday’s regular-season finale.
The team members on Friday will have a limited supply of free student tickets and 200 vouchers – good for a free soda and a hot dog or pretzel - that students can redeem at Saturday’s contest at Moby Arena.
An additional 500 food vouchers will be made available for students prior to Saturday’s game, which tips at 1:30 p.m. MT and will be televised live on The Mtn.
This key matchup between the Rams and the Utes will have postseason implications as the Rams make their final push for a postseason berth. The winner of the contest will enter next week’s 2010 Conoco Mountain West Conference tournament as the No. 5 seed.
A CSU win would give the Rams their highest seed in the MWC tourney since the conference formed in 1999-2000, when the Rams closed the regular season in fourth place. It would also secure CSU’s first winning season since 2006-07.
Senior Day
Saturday also marks the final home game for Colorado State’s six seniors. Mike Annese, Mame Bocar Ba, Travis Busch, Arin Dunn, Michael Lebsack and Harvey Perry will be recognized prior to the start of Saturday’s game.
Camper Reunion
Players who have participated in Colorado State men’s basketball summer camps in the past year are also invited to return for Saturday’s camper reunion. All participants are reminded to bring in the voucher, good for free admission, which they received in the mail.
