ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - After day one of the Mountain West championships, senior Kristen Kugler is currently in second place in the heptathlon with 3,017 points. There are three events remaining.
Teammates Sophia Wagner and Cate Brus are currently in fifth and sixth place with 2,855 and 2,821 points respectively.
On Thursday, the women will compete in the long jump, javelin and the 800-meter dash.
Josh McMillin is the lone Ram competing in the decathlon for CSU. He is currently in fourth place with 3,435 points. He will compete in five events Thursday, the 110-meter hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin and the 1,500-meter run.
