BREMERTON, Wash. - Despite one under par efforts from Bryce Hanstad and Dustin Morris, Colorado State came up short at the NCAA Regional, placing eighth, four strokes short of advancing to the championship.

"Both Dustin and Bryce had great tournaments," said Head Coach Jamie Bermel. "But we just didn't get enough from the other two scores. I'm very disappointed that we didn't make it through to the next round. We only missed by four strokes."

Washington took away the first place title, finishing with an 844 (-20), 29 strokes ahead of second-place USC (873). San Diego placed third with an 874, followed by Oregon State (876), and Illinois rounded out the top five with an 877 to advance to the NCAA championship.

Hanstad (72) and Morris (71) each shot a three-round score of 215, tying for eighth place individually. Zahkai Brown shot a 77 on the final day and finished 43rd with a 224. Ryan Peterson improved his score by eight strokes on the final day shooting a 72, and finished tied for 64th with a 231. Riley Arp finished out the third round with a 77 for a final three-round score of 232.
