Next on the Tee
After opening the season with a win at the Colorado Cup, the Rams proceed to Colorado Springs, where they look to defend back-to-back titles at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational. Winning the tournament in 2008 and 2009 provided early success and confidence for Head Coach Jamie Bermel’s squads. A win in 2010 would provide a huge lift to the Rams’ young roster.  The 54-hole tournament is slated to begin at 8 a.m. Sunday with the final round beginning at 8 a.m. Monday.

The course
The 42nd annual Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational will be held at the Eisenhower Golf Club--Blue Course. The 7,363-yard, par-72 course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and was named the eighth-best college course in the nation by Golf Digest in 2005.

The field
Seventeen other teams will be competing with the Rams at the tournament: Air Force, Air Force JV, Colorado, Denver, New Mexico State, Northern Colorado, Northern Iowa, San Diego, Southern Utah, UCCS, UNLV, Utah, Utah State, Utah Valley, UTEP, Weber State and Wyoming.

Rams lineup
The starting lineup for CSU has yet to be announced. However, Head Coach Jamie Bermel will be taking the same seven golfers who competed in the Colorado Cup, two of which will play as individuals. The seven include Jackson Giro, Kory Harrell, Scott Newton, Richard Schneider, Kirby Pettitt. Zahkai Brown and reigning Mountain West champion Ryan Peterson.
