About UNLV
Entering Wednesday, UNLV is 14-4 on the season, and coming off a 64-52 win over Air Force on Jan. 15. The Runnin' Rebels, who are receiving votes in both polls, boast wins over then-No. 25 Wisconsin (W, 68-65) on Nov. 20 and then-No. 11 Kansas State (W, 63-59) on Dec. 21. Three of the team's four losses on the season have come to ranked teams: at No. 24 Louisville (L, 77-69) on Dec. 11, vs. No. 15/14 BYU (L, 89-77) on Jan. 5, and at No. 6/6 San Diego State (L, 55-49) on Jan. 12.

Junior Chace Stanback leads the Rebels' offense with 12.4 points a game, while senior Tre'Von Willis, junior Oscar Bellfield and sophomore Anthony Marshall also average double figures.

Stanback's .485 field-goal percentage ranks second in the conference, only behind CSU's Andy Ogide. Senior guard Derrick Jasper and Stanback are among the team rebounding leaders with 5.7 and 5.2 rebound averages, respectively. Willis ranks second in the MWC with in free-throw percentage (.854), while sophomore Justin Hawkins is one of five Rebels with 20 or more steals on the season, leading the team with 30.

CSU, which ranks first in field-goal percentage and third in scoring in the MWC, goes up against UNLV, who ranks first and second, respectively, in field-goal percentage defense and scoring defense.

The series vs. the Runnin' Rebels
The Rebels have had the upper hand in the series, winning 31 of the 39 total meetings, including 17 of 21 in Las Vegas. UNLV has won three consecutive games in the series overall, but eight on its home court, last falling to CSU in Las Vegas in the championship game of the 2003 MWC tournament.

Looking ahead
The Rams return to Moby Arena on Saturday night for a matchup against No. 9 BYU, followed by an intrastate rivalry game against Air Force on Jan. 26. Saturday's game against BYU, scheduled to tip at 7 p.m. MT, is being dubbed "White Out Cancer Night" with fans encouraged to wear white. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a free T-shirt. In addition, coaches from both BYU and CSU will wear sneakers in support of Coaches vs. Cancer.
