CSU men's golf to play in NCAA regional

FORT COLLINS, Colo.- The Division I Men's Golf Committee announced Monday that Colorado State men's golf will head to the Boulder regional of the NCAA tournament May 19-21. The Rams have a No. 11 seed heading into the 54-hole tournament.
Head Coach Jamie Bermel's squad will make its fifth consecutive NCAA regional appearance and its 11th in 12 years. The Rams placed eighth in last year's regional, four strokes away from advancing to the finals.
The University of Colorado will serve as host to the regional played at the Colorado National Golf Club in Erie, Colo. The par-72 course stretches 7,676 yards.
Five teams and the low individual not from those teams will advance to the finals from every regional. Oklahoma State will be host to the 2011 championship. The finals will take place on May 31-June 5 at Karston Creek in Stillwater, Okla.
CSU looks to make the next step toward the NCAA finals.
