Mountain West names 12 CSU athletes all-conference

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Mountain West announced its men's and women's outdoor track & field all-conference teams Monday. All-MW selections were awarded to the top three finishers in each event at last week’s conference championships held at the Air Force Academy.

In total 12 Colorado State athletes were named all-conference. The Rams won five conference titles at last week’s championships. Trevor Brown was victorious in the 110- and 400-meter hurdles, Nicole Peters won the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Hannah Pensack-Rinehart took first in the 10,000-meter run and Amy Medina placed first in the high jump. Peters was also named all-conference in the 5,000-meter run.

In addition to those four individuals, eight other Rams were named all-conference; Alex Balsiger (1,500 meters), Kelby Dias (110-meter hurdles), Alec Pott (hammer throw), Holly Keeper (1,500 meters), Alison Forrester (High jump), Kiah Hicks (shot put), Jessica Sharbono (discus throw), Jenna Sliwinski (hammer throw).
