COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado State men's golf team finished the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational in a tie for fourth place to close out their first tournament of the 2012. 

The Rams finished with the first round and second rounds with scores of 293 and 290, but ended the final round with their best finish of the tournament with a 283. Sophomore Cameron Harrell led the Rams with a first round score of 70 (-2) and a second round score of 72 (E), good enough to finish the first day with a tie for eighth.  Harrell finished the 3rd round with a 71 (-1), giving the Rams their best finish and a tie for sixth overall.  Junior Parker Edens, who began the third round tied for 36th, rallied to end the final round with a 69 (-3) and ended the day tied for 14th with a 217 (+1). 

Senior Kirby Pettit had a so-so first day, shooting a 74 (+2) and a 75 (+3), but ended his play with a 71 (-1) to finish tied for 23rd   Fellow teammate Jordan Wetsch who competed as an individual, was two strokes under par to finish the first day, but ended the final round with a 78 (+6) also good for 23rd place.  Freshman Dominic Kieffer debuted with a total score of 221 (+5) and Senior Kory Harrell rounded out the Rams squad with a 230 (+14).

Colorado State finished with an 866 (+2), while Coastal Carolina and UNLV tied for second with a score of 864 (E).  Colorado finished in first, with a team score of 852 (-12).
