FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Colorado State women's tennis team finished Day 2 of the CSU Invitational Saturday at the University Tennis Complex in the same dominant fashion of Day 1, winning all but one match for the day.

The second day of the Invitational featured Round 2 for both singles and doubles. The Rams won 8 of 9 matches in singles and all seven in doubles.

"It was a pretty successful day," said Head Coach Jon Messick. "We did play better today than yesterday. Tomorrow we want to do the same thing and play even better."

In singles, Colorado State started the day off on a good note winning every match. Sophomore's Natalie Heffron won 7-5, 6-1 and Adriana Wojakowska won 6-1, 6-2. Freshmen Abby Stevens won 6-3, 6-3 and Kendall Heitzner won 6-1, 6-1.

Junior Lauren Pick fell short, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 to Tarleton State's Ivana Zecevic.

"We had some tough matches today and the players stayed with it," said Messick.

In Round 2 of doubles, Heitzner and freshman Mollie Cooper won 8-1. Junior Kaley Schultz and sophomore Adriana Wojakowska won 8-6.

The Rams will return to the courts for the last day of the tournament tomorrow starting at 9 a.m.
