ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Colorado State center Colton Iverson earned another postseason honor on Tuesday when the Yankton, S.D., native was named to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association All-District VIII team.

Iverson, a first-team All-Mountain West selection and the league's Newcomer of the Year, ranks sixth nationally in field-goal percentage (.660) and 20th in rebounding (9.7 per game), while leading Colorado State in scoring at 14.6 points per game. He recorded 13 double-doubles during the regular-season, the 19th best total nationally, to lead Colorado State to a program-record 24 victories.

The 6-10 senior paced the Rams balanced scoring attack in nine games in 2012-13, reaching double-figures a team-most 26 times in 31 regular-season tilts. Iverson also reached double-figures in rebounding 13 times throughout the regular-season.

He closed the regular-season in impressive fashion, leading the Rams to victories at Wyoming and vs. Nevada in the final week of play, going a combined 19-of-21 from the field in the two contests, to notch his second and third 20-point scoring games of the year. Against the Cowboys, Iverson tied a Mountain West record by converting on all 12 of his field-goal attempts. He followed up that performance by hitting his first seven shots against the Wolf Pack, running his streak of consecutive games to 19.

Over his last seven games of the year Iverson shot an incredible 71 percent (48-68) from the field while averaging 18.4 points per game and pulling down 9.6 rebounds per contest.
