Head Coach Tom Hilbert

(on winning the Mountain West title outright)
“They’re still focused on next week and doing well in the NCAAs. It’s great, and I’m happy for them, but certainly we have a lot of work left to do.”

(on the performance of senior Kelsey Snider, who had 13 kills and zero errors)
“She played very, very well. She was not hitting any errors, and she was physically better than the players we were playing against. Combine those two and she hit .600.”

(on senior outside hitter Marlee Reynolds)
“Marlee, I thought, was outstanding. She was playing a different type of game today, hitting a lot of out-of-system balls. She really did a nice job.”

(on the first set, which CSU won 32-30)
“The first set was unlike anything that we’ve played this year. I was upset during it because we were not taking advantage of point-scoring opportunities, but we would turn around and side out well. We had 26 kills and hit .380, and only won by two points. We had way too many giveaway points on the other side of the ball. When we cleaned it up, we played a lot better.”

(on settling down in sets 2 and 3)
“We got rid of the yips, and were getting serves in and blocking and doing some things better. We didn’t have enough stuff blocks – and I think that’s because of the type of team Nevada is – but we were blocking and covering.”

(on Nevada’s performance)
"They had three players who were playing really well against us through the first two sets. We weathered some decent play by a couple of their players. Winning that first set was big, because it set the tone that we were not going away.”

(on Wednesday’s regular-season finale against Wyoming)
“Our team will not overlook it. They know Wyoming is good, and I think our fans will show up to celebrate these three seniors and a conference championship. It’s Thanksgiving week, so people look for things to do. Instead of going to a movie, go to the volleyball game.”
