Tennis recap: Rams drop conference match to Boise State

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - On Sunday morning the Colorado State women's tennis team was defeated 6-1 by Mountain West foe Boise State at the Miramont Sports Complex.
Sunday's loss drops the Rams to 3-11 on the season and 0-5 in conference play.
"I thought we played at a high level today," Head Coach Jon Messick said. "I was very impressed with the play of our Nos. 2 and 3 singles."
In doubles, the Broncos captured all three matches and secured the doubles point after victories at the Nos. 1 and 2 spots.
Boise State earned victories in the Nos. 1, 4 and 2 singles spots to win Sunday's match. After that the Broncos won at the Nos. 5 and 6 spots, suffering their lone defeat at No. 3. Sophmore Mollie Cooper and Boise State's Teal Vosburgh played just over two hours before Cooper swept the match 7-6 (4), 6-4.
The Rams will continue their homestand with a non-conference match on Tuesday, April 15 against Northern Colorado. The match is scheduled to be played at the University Tennis Complex, 2400 Research Blvd, at 2:30 p.m. MT.
