BOULDER, Colo. - Colorado State track & field assistant coach Scott Dahlberg won the Bolder Boulder citizens race with a time of 30 minutes, 50.0 seconds on Monday.
The Rams' distance coach ran a pace of 4:57.0 per mile, beating out 50,000 competitors, including Andrew Wacker, who finished in second place, 6 seconds behind Dahlberg.
Dahlberg's time ranks seventh all-time among 29-year olds since the race was first run in 1979. Only once in the past 29 years has someone in his age group gotten a better mark.
This is the second Colorado race Dahlberg has won in the past year. He also won the first annual Pikes Peak High-Altitude Mile in August.
