USA Today Coaches Poll | AP Top-25
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State men’s basketball team, fresh off of a résumé-building 79-73 win over defending MW Champion San Diego State on Saturday night, has jumped back into the rankings at No. 24 in the latest USA Today Coaches Poll. The Rams are also one spot outside of the rankings in the Associated Press Top-25, 13 votes behind No. 25-ranked Butler.
It marks the third week this season that Colorado State has been ranked. The Rams cracked the Top-25 rankings in both polls in Week 7 (24 AP/25 Coaches) and Week 8 (24/24) during a record-breaking 14-0 start.
The Rams are now 18-2, the team’s best record through 20 games in program history, and sit in a three-way tie with San Diego State and Fresno State for second on the MW standings, one game behind league-leading Wyoming. Wyoming and San Diego State are also receiving votes in both polls.
Colorado State’s athletics department has enjoyed an historic year in the national rankings. The Rams are one of 12 teams nationally to be ranked this season in football, volleyball and men’s basketball, joining Arizona, Duke, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio State, Stanford, UCLA, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.
The Rams travel to Boise, Idaho, for a Tuesday night matchup with the Boise State Broncos (14-6, 4-3 MW). Tipoff is set for 9 p.m. MT on ESPNU.
CSU then returns home to Moby Arena on Saturday to host Fresno State at 4 p.m. MT on CBS Sports Network. Tickets, including a mini-plan covering the Rams’ final five games, are available at CSURams.com/tickets, by calling 1-800-491-RAMS, or in person at the McGraw Athletic Center box office.
