Colorado State's first full day in Tucson consisted of a morning practice and time in the players' lounge. Just 15 hours after the team's initial practice away from home, the Rams were back at the Kino Sports Complex Saturday morning. Through two practices, head coach Mike Bobo has been most impressed with his team's ability to retain what they worked on prior to Christmas break, saying the recall has been sharp and that he's been very pleased.
Following practice, the defense had a workout in the weight room, and then the student-athletes had the opportunity to relax and hang out in the players' lounge, which is set up by the Arizona Bowl. The lounge includes pool, ping pong, snacks, TVs, two PlayStation4 video game consoles and more. Like Friday night, the team will also have the opportunity to go to the Tucson mall Saturday evening.
While Saturday was laid back after practice, Sunday will be filled. The team will once again have a morning practice, and additionally some players will visit a local children's' hospital. In the afternoon, the players will be fitted for custom cowboy boots - a gift provided by the bowl - and will have dinner and an activity at Old Tucson Studios, along with Nevada's entire team. The location is the filming sight of several western movies.
