FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Head Coach Jon Messick and the Colorado State tennis team announced the addition of Caroline Henderson on Wednesday. The transfer from Kansas will have two years of eligibility remaining with the Rams.

"We are pleased to have Caroline become part of the Rams tennis family," Messick said. "We expect her to bring significant Big 12 experience to an already-deep lineup. She is expected to make an immediate impact in both singles and doubles."

A native of Dallas, Texas, Henderson was a four-star recruit out of high school, and the fourth-best prospect from the state of Texas, according to TennisRecruiting.net. In two years with the Jayhawks, Henderson competed in both singles and doubles. After graduating from high school early in 2014, she spent the spring season on the KU roster, posting three singles victories (No. 5 and No. 6 spots) and two wins in doubles, including a victory over Iowa State in the Big 12 Championships. As a sophomore, she competed during the fall season, picking up two singles victories.

Away from the college game, Henderson reached the final round of the 2013 USTA Regional Tournament in Richardson, Texas, and competed in the quarterfinals of the USTA National Tournament in Norman, Okla., and the Tennis Plaza Cup in Coral Gables, Fla.
