FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The NCAA notified Colorado State on Monday that point guard Antwan Scott has been granted an extension of eligibility waiver, and will able to complete his collegiate career as a member of the Rams’ squad in 2015-16.

He was informed of the NCAA’s decision Monday morning by head coach Larry Eustachy, and revealed the good news to his teammates Monday afternoon in the team’s locker room at Moby Arena.

Scott, who earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at Grambling State before transferring to Colorado State prior to the 2014-15 season, is in his second year as a graduate student at CSU studying adult education and training, and is slated to complete his master’s degree next May.

Regarded as one of the most impactful transfers in the country leading up to last season, the 6-2, 178-pound product out of Wylie High School in Wylie, Texas, played in just four games for the Rams after re-aggravating a foot injury that he had suffered as a junior at GSU the year before, and was granted a medical hardship waiver from the Mountain West.

At Grambling State, Scott played in played in 25 games with 21 starts and averaged 15.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game in 33.6 minutes per contest for the Tigers. He began his collegiate career with two stellar seasons at Ranger College in Ranger, Texas, where he led the squad to a 20-10 record, a conference championship, and an NJCAA Region V quarterfinal appearance as a sophomore in 2011-12. He also garnered first-team all-conference and all-Region V accolades.

Following his two-year stint at Ranger, Scott signed to play at Idaho as a junior in 2012-13 but left the Vandals program without ever playing a game, transferring to Grambling State to be closer to his family after his mother slipped into a coma due to complications from surgery. Scott's mother, Theresa, passed away in October of 2013, just prior to his junior season at Grambling State.
