2015-16 Schedule

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Colorado State men's golf head coach Christian Newton revealed Thursday his squad's schedule for the 2015-16 season, his fourth at the helm of the Rams' program.

CSU tees off the fall schedule with back-to-back tournaments in Colorado. First, the team travels to Colorado Springs to compete in Air Force's Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational (Sept. 12-13). The following week, the Rams will welcome 14 teams from across the nation to compete in CSU's own Ram Masters Invitational presented by Pedersen Toyota (Sept. 21-22). The 54-hole event, now in its fourth season, will take place, once again, at the Fort Collins Country Club.

The field for the 2015 Ram Masters includes Mountain West foes Air Force, Fresno State and Wyoming, as well as regional rivals Denver and Northern Colorado. Other teams competing are Abilene Christian, Kansas, Valparaiso, Illinois State, Weber State, Southern Utah, South Dakota State, Utah Valley and Wichita State.

The Rams close a busy September with a trip to Albuquerque, N.M., where they will compete in the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate hosted by Mountain West rival New Mexico at the UNM Championship Course.

As the calendar flips to October, the Rams head to Wisconsin where they will compete in a 3-day tournament as part of the Erin Hills Intercollegiate (Oct. 4-6), hosted by Marquette at Erin Hills Golf Course, site of the 2017 U.S. Open. Two weeks later, the Rams compete in the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate (Oct. 19-20) hosted by New Mexico State in Las Cruces, N.M. CSU's fall season draws to a close with 3 days of competition (Nov. 2-4) at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational in Princeville, Hawai'i.

The Rams get back on the course in the spring with an exhibition matchup against CSU golf alumni, Feb. 6 in Phoenix, Ariz., before officially opening up the second half of the schedule later that month with a dual matchup against the Nevada Wolf Pack at a yet-to-be-determined course.

The Rams will spend the next two tournaments in sunny Arizona, first competing in the National Invitational Tournament hosted by the Arizona Wildcats, Feb. 28-March 1 in Tucson, Ariz. The Rams then head to Goodyear, Ariz., March 18-19, for three days at the Desert Shootout hosted by in-state rival Denver.

The team closes out a daunting March schedule at The Goodwin (March 24-26), hosted by Stanford University, before traveling to Provo, Utah, to compete in the PING Cougar Classic (April 24-25) in the team's final tuneup prior to the 2015 Mountain West Championship.

CSU's regular-season schedule draws to a close at the Mountain West Championship, with an automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals up for grabs. The MW tourney is slated for April 22-24, and will once again be held at OMNI Tucson National Golf Resort in Tucson, Ariz.
