Pan American Junior Championships

EDMONTON, Canada – Colorado State head track & field coach Brian Bedard has been selected to lead the women’s throwing events at the 2015 Pan American Junior Championships, held July 31 through Aug. 2.

Bedard will lead younger athletes, ages 16-19, in each of the throwing events - shot put, discus, hammer and javelin - beginning July 31 at Foote Field on the University of Alberta’s campus.

“I look forward to working with the USATF staff and the female throwers for the Junior Pan Am Team,” said Bedard. “It will give me some good experience, and could open some doors to coaching on future U.S. teams.”

The women qualified for the games at the U.S. Outdoor Track & Field Junior Championships last month. Two of the top eight finishers at the USATF championships will compete against some of the best athletes across the Americas.
