CSU Rams recap: Tennis wraps up Air Force Invitational

USAFA, Colo. – The Colorado State women’s tennis team concluded the Air Force Invitational on Sunday, facing Eastern Michigan in singles play and Wyoming in doubles action.
Freshman Emily Kolbow and senior Madison Porter earned victories over the Eagles, competing in Flight 3 and 5, respectively. Both matches went three sets, with the Rams dropping the opener before coming back to win the next two. Senior Laia Hernandez Soler, competing in Flight 2, won her first set, 6-2, but couldn’t hold on for the victory.
In doubles play, Wyoming won all three flights over CSU.
On the weekend, six Rams earned victories, including Rebecca Costa, Hernandez Soler, Kolbow (twice) and Porter (twice) in singles play. Madison Buxton/Hernandez Soler and Aina Hernandez Soler/Porter also won matches in doubles play.
CSU will next be in action Friday at the Colorado Invitational in Boulder.
