FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Rams will continue to be represented by collegiate marketer Learfield as announced today by Colorado State director of athletics Joe Parker. The enhanced, long-term partnership is marked by a deeper, more integrated relationship between the two parties—anchored by multimedia rights yet magnified by a larger presence and additional marketable assets for Learfield with an on-campus football stadium opening in 2017.
“We are excited to extend our multimedia rights partnership with Learfield,” said Parker. “Learfield is the clear leader in the industry and will continue to effectively represent the Colorado State brand with sponsors and partners locally, regionally and nationally.”
The new term, now in effect, positions Learfield to continue oversight of the comprehensive agreement through its dedicated Rams Sports Properties team. Learfield has been the Rams’ exclusive rightsholder since February 2014, when it acquired the assets of Nelligan Sports Marketing. Led by general manager Dani Belinski, Rams Sports Properties aligns daily with the athletics administration and drives a strategic initiative with local, regional and national corporations looking to affiliate their brand with that of the Rams through venue signage; event sponsorships; hospitality; television; digital engagement and radio broadcasts and coaches’ shows.
“CSU is an outstanding partner with a valuable brand and terrific leadership in Joe. It’s a thrilling time to back the Rams, and we’re proud to have them in the Learfield family,” said Learfield president and CEO Greg Brown.
In addition to CSU, Learfield has a conference-wide relationship with the Mountain West, and individual rights agreements with other league members Boise State, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, San Jose State, Utah State and Wyoming.
An industry leader for more than four decades, Learfield has a deep presence in the college athletics landscape nationwide. It manages the multimedia and sponsorship rights for 120 collegiate institutions, conferences and arenas, and supports athletic departments at all competitive levels as title sponsor of the prestigious Learfield Directors’ Cup. Learfield also provides its collegiate partners access to professional concessions and ticket sales; licensing and trademark consulting; digital platform expertise; and venue and technology systems through its affiliated companies.
