Existing season ticket accounts may be renewed, and new commitments taken, beginning today

FORT COLLINS, Colo.—The Colorado State football team is preparing to play in Saturday's Gildan New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque, and beginning today season ticket holders have the opportunity to renew their tickets for 2018. Emails have been sent with renewal information to all 2017 season ticket holders. New season ticket commitments also may now be made by contacting the Rams Sales Team at 800-491-RAMS (7267).

The Rams are coming off a 7-5 regular season (5-3 Mountain West) and will participate in a bowl game for the fifth consecutive season, tying the school record (1999-2003). Head coach Mike Bobo—the only coach in school history to guide the Rams to a bowl game in each of his first three seasons—leads a Rams team that is one of just three Mountain West programs to play in a bowl game in each of the last five seasons, joining Boise State and San Diego State.

Season ticket sales in 2017 reached a school-record 15,477, an increase of 40 percent over the 2016 total of 11,054. Colorado State also set a school attendance record with an average of 32,062 per game, an increase of 16.2 percent from 2016 (27,600), which represents the ninth-highest per-game attendance increase in the nation.

The Rams' 2018 home schedule includes a Sept. 8 visit from Southeastern Conference foe Arkansas and FCS visitor Illinois State, along with Mountain West opponents Wyoming, Utah State, New Mexico and Hawai'i. Season tickets packages also include the annual Rocky Mountain Showdown against Colorado at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Prices for the seven-game package begin as low as $250.

"We are beginning our season ticket renewal process now to be sure we effectively serve the interests of our great fans," said Joe Parker, CSU's Director of Athletics. "Offering the opportunity to renew or purchase new season tickets in December provides our season ticket partners the option to spread payments over a six-month period, and enables those who purchase priority seating and VIP memberships to the New Belgium Porch and Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies Field Club to apply the donation portion of their payment to their 2017 taxes, should they choose to do so."

Season tickets to Colorado State Football offer multiple benefits, and remain a tremendous value in the local sports and entertainment landscape. Along with affordable payment plan options, season ticket partners will continue to have the first opportunity to purchase additional single-game tickets prior to the public on-sale date for such tickets. Over the last five seasons (2013-17), the Rams have won 66 percent of their games covered by the season-ticket package, with a record of 23-12 in the 30 home games and five Rocky Mountain Showdown games in that span.

In addition, Rams fans have witnessed in recent seasons some of the most prolific student-athletes in school history. CSU has produced five All-Americans in the past five seasons, including three Walter Camp first- or second-team All-Americans (RB Kapri Bibbs, 2nd team, 2013; WR Rashard Higgins, 1st team, 2014; WR Michael Gallup, 1st team, 2017). Higgins and Gallup were finalists for the Biletnikoff Award in their All-America seasons and former punter Hayden Hunt, who earned third-team AP All-America was a finalist for the 2015 Ray Guy Award. Quarterbacks Garrett Grayson (2011-14) and Nick Stevens (2014-17) have re-written the CSU record books, ranking Nos. 1-2 in nearly every single-season and career statistical category.

The future looks promising as well, with many components returning and exciting new additions joining a record-setting offense. CSU's leading tackler, linebacker Josh Watson, also returns for his senior season in 2018 after recording more than 100 tackles in his junior campaign.
