Rams at the 2017 Gildan New Mexico Bowl | Day 3

12/15/2017 7:19:00 PM | Football

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—The Gildan New Mexico Bowl is just one day away and the Rams had a busy final day of preparation Friday. The day kicked off with a walk-through at New Mexico's indoor practice facility, which marked the last official practice of the 2017 season. Colorado State will face Marshall at Dreamstyle Stadium at 2:30 p.m. Saturday on ESPN.

After practice, the Rams and Thundering Herd attended a luncheon at Isleta Resort and Casino, which opened with a performance from both schools' marching bands and cheer squad. The featured speaker, NFL legend-turned-analyst Ron Jaworski, spoke to the teams about life after football and his seven steps to success. Earlier, head coach Mike Bobo and seniors Evan Colorito and Nick Stevens represented the Rams at the official bowl press conference.

The evening was marked by a number of pep rallies, one in Old Town Albuquerque and another hosted by the CSU Alumni Association at Dave and Busters. The marching band and cheer squad stole the show at both events, and did a great job rallying the large contingent of Rams fans who made the trip to Albuquerque.

With the day's festivities wrapped up, the stage is now set for tomorrow's game, the Rams' third appearance in the 12-year history of the New Mexico Bowl. Colorado State emerged victorious in 2008 and 2013, and seeks its seventh bowl win all-time.
