FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Former Colorado State men's basketball standout Emmanuel Omogbo will continue to pursue a NBA career, playing on the NBA champion Golden State Warriors' summer league team. The Warriors will play in Las Vegas, July 8-17, the same summer league teammate Gian Clavell will be in with the Miami Heat.

The team, coached by Warriors Assistant Coach/Player Development Chris DeMarco, will play at least five as part of the squad's 12th year in the Las Vegas league. Omogbo has played eight times in his collegiate careeer in the Thomas & Mack Center, site of the Warriors' three preliminary games, as the  court is home to Mountain West-foe UNLV and the Mountain West Men's Basketball Championship.

Omogbo played at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament as a start to his professional career, earning All-Tournament Team honors at the 65th annual event in Portsmouth, Va., that featured at least one representative from every NBA team. Omogbo earned the honor after averaging 13.0 points per game and a tournament-best 11.0 rebounds a contest, including leading the event with 5.0 offensive boards a contest. He also was 68.0 percent (17-of-25) from the field, fourth best in the four-day tournament, along with a pair of double-doubles in his first two games, including 15 points and 14 boards in the opening game against Norfolk Sports Club.

Omogbo was the new standard for double-doubles in the Mountain West this past season, recording a new league record with 13 during conference play and 20 overall for the season, ranking in the top-20 nationally, setting a new school single-season record and joining the record book as the third-best mark in MW history. He led the conference in rebounding at 10.4 boards per conference game and ranked 12th in scoring at 13.6 points a contest. He was also third in league-only field goal percentage, hitting .482 of his shot attempts.

The senior scored a career-high 24 points, with 17 coming in the final half, in the win at San Diego State, Jan. 28. He hit a 3-pointer with 4.1 seconds left for the game-winner over San Diego State, Feb. 25, part of an 11-point, 11-rebound effort. For his CSU career, Omogbo recorded 28 double-doubles, which is seventh all-time on the MW career list, and his 9.24 rebounds in 69 career games ranked as the fifth-best mark in league annals.
