Jonsson's mark moves her to 10th in the event on CSU's all-time indoor list.
Â
Colorado State's Josie Spitz won the pole vault by nearly a foot after clearing 12-5.5 (3.80m), a mark that ties for fifth on CSU's all-time indoor list. Freshman Tate Thornton topped 10-11.75 (3.35m) to move to 17th on CSU's all-time list in the event. Rounding out the top performances in the field events was freshman Isa Bynum's mark of 23-6.75 (7.18m) in the men's long jump, which was good for fourth place on Friday. Bynum's long jump mark ranks 15th on CSU's all-time indoor list.

IN THEIR WORDS
Colorado State head coach Brian Bedard
On the women's weight throw:
"I thought the women's weight throwers competed well tonight. Any time you see that many athletes scoring points for our team, that's a good thing. Aimee (Larrabee) was very close to a lifetime best toinight and for Linnea (Jonsson) it was a lifetime best. Kelcey (Bedard) struggled a little bit tonight - she had some massive throws in warm-ups and just couldn't quite put it together in competition, but that happens. In track events, we were trying to get some athletes in the finals for tomorrow and I think we ran fairly well to get there."
