DENVER -- Haley Rowley had another dominant performance, but it was not enough to propel the Colorado State swimming & diving squad over the Denver Pioneers as Denver took the dual meet win, 168-132.
Rowley took three individual wins for 27 total points, winning both the 500 and 100 yard freestyle events as well as the 200 IM.Â
The Boulder, Colo., native now has seven individual event wins over the first two meets of the Rams' season.
Sophomore Maddie Ward added 13 points to the team total with a victory in the 200 breaststroke and a runner-up result in the 100-yard edition.
Fellow sophomore Rachel Holland won the 1-meter dive and placed third in the 3-meter, one spot behind teammate Skylar Williams. Williams also took second in the 1-meter event.
Freshman Abbey Owenby took second behind Rowley in both the 500 and 1000 yard freestyle events. Three more CSU freshmen picked up runner-up results -- Kristina Friedrichs (200 yard freestyle), Elsa Litteken (100 yard backstroke) and Grace Siebmann (200 IM).
Senior Tonicia Thomas and Litteken each earned podium finishes in the 200 yard backstroke, taking second and third respectively.
