  • Colorado State—fresh off back-to-back conference wins—goes back on the road in Mountain West play for a Friday night kickoff at Boise State. The game will be televised on ESPN2, and be the Rams' second Friday night game this season (Aug. 31 vs. Colorado).
  • The Rams rank 19th in FBS in offensive first downs gained (162) and passing offense (298.1), and 19th nationally in third-down defense, allowing opponents to convert just 31.4 percent of their attempts (49-118).
  • Junior WR Preston Williams ranks among the nation's best in most major receiving categories: 6th in receiving touchdowns (7), 8th in receptions per game (7.4), 9th in receiving yards, 13th in receiving yards per game (95.9)
  • Williams' 12 receptions in the Sept. 8 win over Arkansas tied for second-most in a game in CSU program history.
  • Grad transfer QB K.J. Carta-Samuels ranks 7th in FBS in passing yards (1,934), 11th in passing touchdowns (16) and 17th in completions per game (22.6).
  • Senior LB Josh Watson ranks 19th in FBS with an average of 10.6 tackles per game.
  • Sophomore punter Ryan Stonehouse ranks 3rd in FBS in gross punting average (50.3). 
  • After Saturday's 20-18 home win over New Mexico, Colorado State is now 50-44-1 all-time in Homecoming games, and is a perfect 5-0 since the historic 1925 homecoming flag—missing for decades after mysteriously disappearing—was returned to CSU before the 2014 homecoming game. It has been carried onto the field for each of the last five homecoming games, all wins (10/18/14, 16-13 over Utah State … 10/17/15, 38-23 over Air Force … 10/8/16, 31-24 over Utah State … 10/14/17, 44-42 over Nevada).
  • Saturday's attendance of 36,514 was the fifth-highest in school history and marked the first sellout of the season, third in Canvas Stadium in 10 games since opening in 2017.
  • Saturday's win was CSU's first by way of a game-winning field goal as time expired since Jared Roberts nailed a 46-yarder against Utah State on Homecoming 2014 (Oct. 18) for a 16-13 win. The most recent instance prior to that was Roberts' 41-yard game-winner as time expired in the 2013 Gildan New Mexico Bowl (Dec. 21), a 48-45 win.
  • The last time CSU won a game on a walk-off field goal attempted when trailing came Sept. 25, 2010. Ben DeLine drilled a 35-yard field goal to erase a 34-33 Idaho lead on Ag Day at Hughes Stadium, and secure a 36-34 win for the Rams.
  • Saturday's game was the Rams' first win when scoring 20 or fewer points since the Oct. 18, 2014 homecoming win over Utah State (16-13).
