Competition between Ram Club & Wyoming's Cowboy Joe Club coincides with Border War week to support student-athlete scholarships
FORT COLLINS, Colo.–The Colorado State University Ram Club and the University of Wyoming Cowboy Joe Club announced today a joint effort to raise funds for Rams and Cowboys student-athletes surrounding the annual Border War rivalry football game.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 22 and lasting through kickoff of the Border War football game on Friday, Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. MT, Rams and Cowboys fans will compete off-the-field to see which school has the most spirit! By donating just $10 or more to the Border War Blitz campaign, fans, alumni, and community members of both CSU and UW will show their school pride in a friendly and fierce competition to raise funds for student-athlete scholarships.
Participants in the Border War Blitz campaign have the option to choose which school to support, and the school with the most donors by kickoff on Oct. 26 will be declared the winner.
All funds raised by CSU supporters to the Border War Blitz campaign benefit the CSU Athletics Scholarship fund, directly offsetting the $9 million annual cost of scholarships for nearly 400 Rams student-athletes. In turn, all funds raised by Wyoming supporters will be directed to the University of Wyoming's general Athletics scholarship fund to benefit Cowboys student-athletes.
