Rams wrap up tri-meet at Air Force

Several Rams earn event wins, Williams snags NCAA qualifying mark
USAFA, Colo. – Four different Rams took individual event wins and sophomore diver Skylar Williams notched an NCAA Zone-qualifying mark as the Colorado State swimming & diving squad competed against New Mexico and Air Force at the Cadet Natatorium on Saturday.
Williams scored a 265.90 in the 1-meter dive to place second in the event. The mark earned Williams CSU's first NCAA qualifying score of the year. Williams also finished fourth in the 3-meter dive (256.65).
Maddie Ward snagged victories in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke events. Three other Rams – Jennae Frederick, Haley Rowley and Tonicia Thomas – also earned wins.
Rams with individual event wins:
CSU swept the podium in the 200 butterfly, won by Frederick. Marie Goodwyn took second (2:11.60) and Ida Donohue placed third (2:14.32), and all three Rams beat the field by almost two seconds.
Rowley placed second in the 1000 freestyle (10:34.38) and the 500 freestyle (5:08.73). Thomas also had a runner-up result, placing second in the 100 backstroke (2:09.44) with Olivia Chatman close behind in third (2:10.21). Frederick took an additional podium finish in the 100 butterfly, placing third (58.69).
Freshman Grace Siebmann took second behind Ward in both the 100 (1:07.10) and 200 breaststroke (2:26.93) events.
CSU only scored dual meet points against New Mexico, losing to the Lobos 168-130.
