Rams to Host NCAA Selection Show Watch Party at Fort Collins Marriott, May 2 at 3:30 pm

All are invited as CSU finds out its location for 2018 NCAA Regionals live on The Golf Channel at 4 pm
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State men's golf team will find out its destination for the 2018 NCAA Men's Golf Regionals on Wed., May 2 at 4 p.m., on The Golf Channel. As part of that, the Rams will host an event at the Fort Collins Marriott, with the team inviting all fans and supporters of the program to join them for the watch party, starting at 3:30 p.m.

A proud supporters of the CSU athletic program, the Fort Collins Marriott on Horsetooth will have special Happy Hour offerings for all attendees in their lounge area, where the broadcast will be shown. With their current ranking of No. 40 according to Golfweek and No. 43 according to Golfstat, the Rams are assured of their first team postseason berth under head coach Christian Newton, first since 2012 and 17th in the program's Division I history. CSU is coming off back-to-back runner-up finishes in the Mountain West Championship, the top back-to-back combined placings in program history.

There are six NCAA Regional sites, featuring a combined 81 teams (31 automatic bids to league champions and 45 at-large invites) and 45 individuals not on selected teams, with three rounds of action Mon.-Wed., May 14-16. The top five teams and top individuals not on advancing teams from each regional move on to the NCAA Championship, to be played at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla., May 25-30. The sites for the Regionals are: Lonnie Poole Golf Course (Raleigh, N.C.), Traditions Club (Bryan, Texas), Scarlet Course/OSU Golf Course (Columbus, Ohio), Reunion Resort (Kissimmee, Fla.), Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club (Norman, Okla.) and The Reserve at Spanos Park (Stockton, Calif.).
