Moore brings the signing class up to three entering as freshmen next year

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State men's basketball added another piece of the future with the signing of Kendle Moore (Danville, Ill./Danville HS) to a National Letter of Intent, head coach Niko Medved announced today.

"For starters, Kendle is a first class kid," Medved said. "He is really competitive, loves the game and knows how to put the ball in the basket. We are excited to have him join the Rams!"

A 5-10 point guard, Moore is the all-time leading scorer in Danville High School history, accumulating more than 1,700 points in his career. Considered a top-10 prospect in the state and the top point guard following his senior year according to Prep Hoops Illinois, Moore was the BIG 12 Conference Player of the Year and both an Associated Press and Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) Class 3A/4A All-State team selection. In 2017-18, he averaged 21.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.9 steals per game while leading the Vikings to a 26-3 overall mark, as high as a No. 4 ranking in the Associated Press Class 4A Poll, the conference title for the first time since 2001 and a berth in the regional final. He was also honored as a Chicago Tribune 2018 All-State Second Team pick as well as a USA Today All-USA Illinois Boys Second Team honoree.

As a junior, Moore led Danville to its first regional title in 16 years in 2016-17, averaging 21.5 points, 3.5 assists and 2.9 steals per game. He shot 51.1 percent from the field. After leading the Vikings to a 22-9 record and the sectional title, he was named the Commercial-News and News-Gazette's 2016-17 Area Player of the Year for the first of two consecutive awards, also garnering both his senior season. He was also a Second Team Class 3A/4A pick by the IBCA and an honorable mention Class 4A All-State selection by the Associated Press.

This brings to three the signing class coming in to CSU this fall, as 6-7 wing Jack Schoemann (Prairie Village, Kan./Shawnee Mission East HS) and 6-7 forward Adam Thistlewood (Golden, Colo./Golden HS) have previously signed with the Rams.
