CSU Ram Club Celebrates Rams Legends with ‘Through the Decades’ Campaign

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Beginning today, the CSU Ram Club celebrates Rams legends with their "CSU Athletics: Through the Decades" campaign. This campaign, raising funds to support student-athlete scholarships for CSU's 380 student-athletes, highlights Rams legends Del Hessel (track & field, '64), Doug Max (track & field, '75), Michael "Mick" DeLavallade (men's basketball & baseball, '86), Sonny Lubick (football, 1993-2007), Janay Soukup (track & field, '08), and Jaime Colaizzi (women's volleyball, '16).
The CSU Athletics: Through the Decades fundraising campaign allows these touchstones of CSU Athletics history to tell their story as to how the student-athlete experience at CSU shaped not just their time in Fort Collins, but also their professional careers and personal lives after graduation. By listening to the stories of these extraordinary Rams, alumni and supporters are reminded of how far Colorado State University has come, the pride in achievements of current Rams and, most importantly, the potential for continued excellence in the future.
All proceeds from the CSU Athletics: Through the Decades fundraising campaign benefit the Athletic Scholarship fund at CSU, which directly supports scholarships for Rams student-athletes. Last year, the cost of providing scholarships to cover tuition for the 380 Rams student-athletes representing our University, on and off the field, totaled more than $9 million.
