Men's Golf With A Pair of Solid Finishes at Mark Simpson Colorado Invite

ERIE, Colo. – Colorado State men's golf had a pair of players compete well at the 2018 Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, Sept. 24-25. The two-day, 54-hole tournament was played at Colorado National Golf Club (Par 72 – 7,703 yards) in Erie, Colo.
 
Freshman Oscar Teiffel was the top finisher for CSU in a tie for 10th at even-par 216. Teiffel posted a 3-under 69 in his last 18 of the tournament, a round that featured five birdies and just two bogeys. Sophomore Cullen Plousha also finished in the top third of the field, tying for 31st at 5-over 221 following a closing-round even-par 72. Kyler Dunkle of Utah and Colorado's Trevor Olkowski tied for medalist honors at 9-under 207.
 
The Rams are next in action at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, Sept. 28-29. The two-day, 54-hole tournament, hosted by the University of New Mexico, will be played at UNM's Championship Course.
