Rams claim dual meet win at Colorado School of Mines

Team gets back into action after winter break; home tomorrow vs. Air Force
GOLDEN, Colo.—Colorado State's swimmers traveled south to the Colorado School of Mines on Friday evening and captured a 179-78 dual meet victory over the host Orediggers at the Mines Natatorium.
The Rams claimed wins in 12 of the 14 events, including first career event wins for freshmen Kristina Friedrichs (50 freestyle), Hope Jestes (1000 freestyle) and Elsa Litteken (100 and 200 backstroke)
Jestes' time in her victorious 1000 freestyle was a personal-best 10:52.97, third-fastest by a Ram this season.
Litteken won the 100 backstroke in 57.34 and the 200 backstroke in 2:08.27.
Sophomore Maddie Ward won the 100 freestyle in 53.93, the third-fastest time in that event this season for CSU, and won the 100 breaststroke in 1:05.01.

- Sophomore Madison Gordley, 500 freestyle (5:16.64)
- 200 medley relay (Thomas, Ward, Jennae Frederick, Friedrichs), 1:47.08

The Rams return home to Moby Pool tomorrow for an 11 a.m. dual meet with Air Force. CSU's six seniors will be recognized before the meet at 10:45 a.m. Admission is free.
