Next on the Tee: Colorado State is heading east and south to play in the 34th Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate, Oct. 7-8. The two-day, 54-hole tournament, hosted by the University of Alabama is being played at Old Overton Golf Club in Birmingham, Ala.

Fast Five On the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate:
- This is the first time CSU is competing in the prestigious 54-hole tournament.
- Of the 12 teams in the field, nine were represented in the NCAA Regionals with seven teams (CSU, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, BYU, Mississippi & Princetion) and two schools with individuals (Charlotte & Minnesota).
- Seven teams are currently ranked in top 50 according to Golfweek, led by #16 Arkansas. The Rams are ranked 34th as of Sept. 26.
- Notable individual champions in the event are PGA veterans Tiger Woods, David Toms, Rory Sabbatini, Bryce Molder, Hunter Mahan, Bill Haas and Justin Thomas.
- The Jerry Pate Intercollegiate began in 1986 and is named for one of the most successful professional golfers in Crimson Tide history.
Lineup for the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate: The 34th-ranked Rams, according to Golfstat, are in the traditional play-five, count-four event this week at Fort Collins Country Club. For CSU, the lineup will be:

Last Time Out Highlights:
- The Rams earned their sixth consecutive Ram Masters Invitational team title in the eight-year history of the event
- The 9-under total was the second lowest 54-hole total in tournament history
- The 14-shot margin of victory is tied for the second largest difference in the Ram Masters.
- This is the second time that CSU has had three individuals that counted towards the team score and also finished in the top five and ties (other was 2015).
- CSU's 831 total is tied for the seventh lowest 54-hole total in program annals, while the 265 in the second round is tied for the third lowest single-round score since 1993-94
- Senior AJ Ott had his best individual finish in his hometown tournament and best finish in his CSU career, tying for second. He also was a major part of the Rams winning the last four Ram Masters Invitationals, having had all 12 of his rounds count to the team total.
- Sophomore Davis Bryant posted his top collegiate finish and his third top-10 of his career in just 15 events.
- Junior Parathakorn Suyasri also had his third top-five placing of his career.

Summer Success: The Rams took advantage of the summer months to play in some outstanding amateur competition. Among the successes that CSU golfers had are:
- AJ Ott - Southwestern Amateur champion; US Amateur qualifier for the third year in a row, tying for 62nd and advancing to a 27-for-3 playoff for final spots in match play; Colorado Open Low Am, US Am qualifier
- Cullen Plousha - US Amateur qualifier for second consecutive year
- Jack Ainscough - British Amateur qualifier, advancing to match play
- Davis Bryant - Colorado Am champion
- Parathakorn Suyasri - Winner of two Thailand Junior events, Qualified for 2019 Asia-Pacific Amateur (second straight year and back-to-back top 50 finishes as competed Sept. 26-29)
