Oleksak Named AVCA All-American Honorable Mention

Senior setter earned her fourth All-American award for her career.
PITTSBURGH, Pa., – She became the all-time assists leader at Colorado State and the first three-time Player of the Year in the Mountain West. On Wednesday, Katie Oleksak added one more honor to her resume.
The graduating senior from Phoenix, Ariz., made it a clean sweep for her career when she was named an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American for the fourth time. In short, she lived up to all the hype surrounding her when she joined the program as an Under Armour All-American third-team selection out of high school.
The organization announced the All-American teams and honorable mention selections at the site of the Final Four, to be played out Thursday and Saturday in Pittsburgh.
Oleksak set the school record in the modern scoring era (starting in 2008) for career assists with 5,083, averaging 11.42 per set. A strong all-around player for the Rams, Oleksak finished with 871 digs, 364 blocks (an impressive .82 per set from the setter's position) and delivered 96 service aces.
Her name is all over the Rams' record book, holding single-match records for assists in a three-, four- and five-set match in the modern era. All four of her season's assists totals rank in the top nine all time, including the upper rung (1,385, 2017)., and all four of her averages for assists per set fill up the top seven in program history.
