Medved, Athletics To Raise Funds For Cancer Research Initiatives

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State's men's basketball program, led by head coach Niko Medved, and the athletic department are working to make an impact against cancer and on this year's Coaches vs. Cancer campaign with their initial participation during the Colorado game on Dec. 13.
For the CU game, Medved is personally donating $1 per student ticket that is reserved and redeemed for the game. Medved also wants to encourage others to participate with a personal challenge to both organizations and individuals.
"This is a great initiative and a great way to support an important cause," Medved said. "While I am making a personal donation, I also want to challenge both organizations in our community as well as individuals to join me in the fight against cancer by matching the donation of $1 per student that comes to cheer and support our Rams against CU!"
The Colorado State Athletic Department will also donate $1 per ticket purchased between in advance of next Friday's contest with the Buffaloes at 6 p.m. The combined proceeds will be split between the UCHealth Cancer Center and the Coaches vs. Cancer program.
