COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresh off a sweep of the women's and men's team titles at the 2019 Mountain West Indoor Track & Field Championships, the Colorado State track & field team was recognized with All-Mountain West selections for 22 of its athletes. The league announced its all-conference selections on Tuesday.

Of the 22 Rams recognized, 12 were from the women's team and 10 were from the men's team. Among those athletes was sophomore Isa Bynum, who was honored for runner-up finishes in two individual events, the long jump and triple jump. Four Rams were recognized for relay performances along with individual efforts, including freshman Lauren Gale (400 meters champion, 4x400 relay), freshman Michael Mooney (mile, distance medley relay), sophomore Jessica Ozoude (200 meters champion, 4x400 relay) and senior Cole Rockhold (mile champion, distance medley relay).

The Rams were also represented in the conference's superlative awards, as head coach Brian Bedard earned each of the Mountain West's Women's and Men's Coach of the Year honors for the indoor season. Between indoor and outdoor track & field, Bedard has been selected as the conference's coach of the year seven times since 2015.

Along with Gale and Ozoude, senior Marybeth Sant also earned All-Mountain West recognition in the sprints with a second-place finish in the 60 meters. On the men's side, senior Nathan Gish was an all-conference selection after a third-place finish in the 200 meters. Two Rams earned accolades in the 60-meter hurdles, including women's champion Destinee Rocker and men's bronze medalist Kamal-Craig Golaube.

Five Rams received All-Mountain West distinction in the throws, including 2019 conference champions and expected NCAA qualifiers Kelcey Bedard (weight throw) and Tarynn Sieg (shot put). Senior Linnea Jonsson also received All-Mountain West recognition in the women's weight throw, while junior Bailey King (weight throw) and freshman Jackson Morris (shot put) earned all-conference nods in the throws on the men's side.

Along with Mooney and Rockhold, two more Rams were recognized in middle-distance/distance events on the women's side. Senior Bailey Ness placed second in the 5,000 meters en route to an All-Mountain West selection, while junior Macy Kreutz placed third in the 800 meters to receive all-conference honors.

Rounding out All-Mountain West selections in individual events on the men's side was senior Hunter Powell, the 2019 conference champion in the heptathlon. Junior Nia Powdrell accounts for the Rams' final all-conference choice in women's individual events after a second-place finish in the long jump.

Sophomore Jasmine Chesson and junior Michelle Gould were each recognized for their roles on the Rams' program-record-setting 4x400 relay team. Sophomore Jacob Brueckman and senior Ronald Sayles were tabbed all-conference after helping the Rams to a runner-up finish in the distance medley relay.
